Poetry Sydney is an independent literary organisation committed to a presence for poetry in our culture.

Darlings’ Poetry Phew

Open poetry platform for poetry lovers in all its forms. Held on the first and second Sunday afternoon of the two-week Happy Hours Festival in the new street level space at Bitter Phew.

Share with us in an expression of relief to be together through words that articulate all the emotion of our shared times. Join us in the collective exclamation of ‘phew!’

Music by DJ YaKnow? Erjan is a culturalist, who plays mostly vinyl and is accompanied by a puppet.  He will provide the background in between the poetry by spinning some of the records from his crate-to-create an inspiring atmosphere.  His black record magic will be taken to the next level for the first time by his puppet alter ego.

In-keeping with the theme a special Darling’s Poetry ‘Phew‘ menu is available exclusively to those attending as a ticket pre-purchase option.

This is an open-mic event, and participants are recommended to register following the purchasing of a ticket. To register following the purchasing of a ticket please email: mail@poetrysydney.org
